Our Kindy 2016 transition to school initiative started on Friday, October 30th with 34 students already enrolled for next year, our largest cohort of Kindergarten students in over ten years!
It was a very successful start with all our Kindy 2016 students leaving with smiles on their faces.
Each Friday, over the next four weeks, our Kindy 2016 students will attend school from 9:30am to 1:00pm to become familiar with our school routines and meet their teachers for next year. It also provides our teachers an opportunity to get to know their students and it is a great way for new parents to become familiar with our school too.
On October 28th we held our parent information evening in which our 2016 Kindergarten teachers; Mrs. Gentle and Miss Burgess had the opportunity to meet the parents and present information about starting school at Mullaway. Parents also had the opportunity to meet our community partners on Friday, October 30th with representatives from OOSH, the Cancer Council, the Commonwealth Bank, P&C and Scripture providing short presentations to the parents.
