Three of our students have qualified for the Mid North Coast Zone Athletics Championships after excellent performances at the Coffs Harbour District Athletics Carnival on Thursday, July 30th.
Tobi Woodgate placed 4th in the 12 Years Boys 100m and 200m finals, Zac Lye placed 1st in the Junior Boys Shot Put, and; Kyle Wallace placed 2nd in the Senior Boys 800m and Senior High Jump. Our trio will compete at the Zone Athletics on Friday, August 14th.
All of our students who represented our school at the District Athletics performed well, giving 100% effort and in some cases recording Personal Bests.
We also had fabulous support from our parents and community, helping with transportation and cheering our students across the finish line.
Thank you to Miss Hills our District team coordinator and Mr. Cheers who was the official starter for the track events.
I had the privilege of being the head timekeeper and judge which meant that I was able to watch and encourage our track athletes throughout the day.
