We held our Book Week Parade at Mullaway Primary School on Thursday, August 27th and our school was illuminated with all of our favourite book characters!
Our students and teachers looked fantastic in their costumes and the parade was well supported by our parents and families.
All of our classes had the opportunity to parade their costume on the catwalk and lucky dip prizes were awarded to a boy and girl from each class in acknowledgement of the wonderful effort that they went to for the parade.
Thank you to Miss. Nichols our librarian who coordinated the Book Week Parade and to all our teachers who supported the parade. Thank you in particular to our parents who went to great efforts to ensure that their children looked fabulous for the parade.
After the parade our parents had the opportunity to lunch with their children and purchase some delicious specials from our green canteen. The menu included spinach and cheese pasties and a garden salad with many of the ingredients being harvested from our sustainable gardens. The butter chicken and rice was also a popular choice and sold-out quickly! Thank you again to our wonderful canteen committee!
