Our Stage 3 students had an fantastic experience visiting Lake Ainsworth for a five day excursion in Week 6.
The students participated in a variety of sport and recreation activities with the favourites being; sailing, rock climbing, archery, high ropes, kayaking, canoeing and a cook-out. To fuel their energy, they also had plenty to eat at the camp with nachos, curry, apple crumple and eggs on toast being the collective favourites.
Our Stage 3 students visit Lake Ainsworth every second year with the Canberra/ Sydney excursion being on the alternate year. Lake Ainsworth is one of the official NSW Sport and Recreation camps.
It is a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience a variety of outdoor activities as well as the independence of living away from home for a week.
Thank you to our Stage 3 teachers; Mr. King and Miss Burgess, who coordinated and attended the five day excursion. Without this commitment and goodwill, in which teachers are on duty 24/7 and receive no extra pay or time in lieu, our students would not have this fabulous experience and the life-long memories.
