We held our Year 6 farewell dinner on Tuesday, December 16th at the Woolgoolga Bowling Club.
The evening consisted of a formal dinner with the Year 6 students and all the Mullaway Primary teaching and administration staff, followed by; speeches by our captains, the presentation of the Year 6 gift to the school and the cutting of the cake.
There was also plenty of fun with satirical and good-natured student and teacher awards usually highlighting a faux-pas by individuals throughout the year. After the ceremony the disco commenced with the Year 5 students joining in the celebration.
The evening concluded with the Stage 3 parents attending to watch a satirical performance by the Year 6 students which traditionally is a send up of the staff of Mullaway. This year's performance was a mock Big Brother eviction which raised plenty of laughs amongst the community.
Thank you to Mr. King our Year 6 coordinator along with Miss. Burgess and the Year 6 parent volunteers who assisted with the decorations and serving.
Farewell to our Year 6, They were an outstanding cohort and were great leaders and role-models for our younger students. They will by missed by the Mullaway Primary School community. We wish them the very best for high school and in their future careers.
