15 May 2015
Fortune smiled upon Mullaway for our Wheels-athon on Friday, May 15th, with picture perfect autumnal weather.
The fine weather meant that we could fully utilise our beautiful school grounds for the Wheels-athon circuits, providing safe spaces for our bikes, scooters and other types of wheels.
Mr. Cheers had set up courses and circuits for our various types of wheels with the focus being on road safety.
Mullaway father and Woodseys Wheels owner, Scott Bocking generously provided his time to give safety checks for our student cyclists.
Woodseys Wheels also provided, at cost, a Dirt-X scooter which was raffled on the day at the school. Congratulations to Matthew and Carolyn Kearns who were the lucky winners!
The focus of our Wheels-athon also includes healthy living and at the end of the Wheels-athon our students were provided with fresh fruit to replenish their energy.
Thank you to all our parents who helped transport bikes and other wheels to school, without your support we could not hold our Wheels-athon.
The Wheels-athon is our major fundraiser for 2015. Thank you to Mr. Cheers and Mrs. Gray our Wheels-athon coordinators and to our P&C President; Davina and P&C Treasurer; Tim for their support on the day.
